Qhawa is a free Chrome extension that blocks ads on YouTube and across the web, stops trackers, and warns you before you open a known scam, phishing or malware page. It has no "acceptable ads" program, does not sell your data and is funded only by voluntary donations.

These guides explain, step by step and without jargon, how to choose a free ad blocker, what happened to uBlock Origin in Chrome, how to block YouTube ads, how to tell whether a website is safe and how to recognize phishing. Each one tells you what you can do on your own for free, and how Qhawa helps if you want your browser to do part of the work. We update them when something important changes, such as Chrome's extension rules or a new scam that starts spreading.
What Qhawa does
- Blocks ads on YouTube and websites using public lists such as EasyList, built for Chrome's Manifest V3.
- Stops trackers that follow you from site to site, and declines cookie banners where it can.
- Warns you about scams by checking pages against daily-updated phishing and malware lists before they load.
- Shows who paid for your attention: which brands tried to reach you and why you were targeted.
Qhawa runs on your computer. Your browsing history is not sent to us, and there is no paid version.
